Property Awards
New Canaan Preservation Alliance’s Annual Awards recognize projects involving the preservation of historic structures in New Canaan, which have undergone restoration, rehabilitation, or adaptive reuse, including sympathetic and appropriate additions. The Awards are given for residential, commercial, municipal, religious, or eleemosynary projects.
It is important that the original structure maintains its historic integrity; the original architecture of the structure must be enhanced, not be compromised, covered or blocked from view from a public way. Retention of original windows is preferred.
The Awards are presented at the Annual Birthday Party of the Alliance in May, which is open to the public.
