Stephen H. Benko, Jr., New Canaan’s Recreation Director, was given an award for his diligent preservation and protection of Waveny House for thirty-five years.  The Alliance has recently provided funding for the cleaning and repair of the limestone fireplace in the great hall and is working on finding the appropriate craftsman to repair the floors.
